Neurodiverse BSD
Events

Neurodiverse BSD Events is hosting a variety of BSD Events focused on themes of neurodiversity and mental health in the broadest possible interpretation. Current event: Big Bang!

About & FAQ

All the events hosted by this account are strictly 18+ as we allow NSFW and Dead Dove content. You will be banned forever if we find you lying about your age.Right now, the plan is to host a Big Bang, a Reverse Bang, and a Zine, if there's an interest for either or all three (and maybe more). The theme of each event will be neurodiversity and/or mental health. This includes, but is not limited to portraying a character having a specific condition such as ADHD or anxiety, portraying a character dealing with an unspecified mental or neurological condition, portraying a character dealing with temporary mental health struggles, or portraying a character taking care of their mental health. Different headcanons and AUs are more than welcome.Behaviour PoliciesThe major rule here is don't be an asshole. Don't harrass people for any reason, and don't strive to upset anyone.Bigotry of any kind, bullying, threats, and the like will not be tolerated. Ship wars and character/ship bashing will not be tolerated. Polite disagreements and disussions are fine, but this isn't a space for discourse.

FAQ:

Q: Why won't you concider running an Exchange?
A: Neurodiversity and mental health are very personal topics, and we do not feel comfortable overseeing an event in which strangers create something like that for each other. There are too many avenues for potential conflict and hurt.
Q: Why is a themed week not an option in the interest check?
A: The head mod doesn't find themed weeks too compelling. If there's an overwhelming interest, it's still an option, but as things are right now, we do not plan to run a themed week.
Q: How do I join the mod team? / What kind of mods are you looking for?
A: We will have mod applications after the initial interest check closes. What positions will be open will depend on the results of the check-in. For now, the only certainty is that we are looking for a social media mod, a discord mod, and a communications mod.

Vi (they/them)

Writer Mod

Writer, poet and multifanfom loser. To me, every piece of writing and art contains a part of its creator. I can't wait to get to know y'all from your works made for this fandom that is so dear to me <3Favourite Character: Way too many to count!

Current Event

The first event we are holding will be a Big Bang! Sign-ups will start in October. Looking forward to it :3A Big Bang is a collaborative event wherein writers create a story, and artists create an image based on it. Often there is a degree of discussion around both between the group members. The minimum will be 3000 words for writers, and a finished piece of art (whatever that might mean for a given style) for artists. This event is open to writers, artists, and betas. Each group will have an artist and a writer, and if writer requests, a beta. Depending on number of stories writers pitch and the number of projects artists are willing to take on, some groups may have two artists.

Guidelines

General Guidelines
- We will not litigate what counts as neurodiversity or mental health related piece so long as a work is not clearly off theme, or the creator does not make it an issue. Everyone has a different experience with neurodiversity and mental health, and we want to be as inclusive as possible.
Content Guidelines
- We will allow NSFW and Dead Dove content in all events so long as everything is clearly labelled and warned for and is posted within NSFW or Dead Dove spaces.
- For NSFW/Dead Dove content, we will not allow any "on screen"/depicted underage sexual content in Bang related work. Mentions of it are allowed, but it cannot be depicted or shown.
- However, we will allow characters to be aged up for NSFW/Dead Dove content. (i.e. making Kyouka 19 years old)
- Other heavier topics will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the mod team if you're unsure or have any questions about this.
- Topics that are clearly in bad taste at mods' discretion (including but not limited to Nazis symbology, American chattel slavery, and other comparable ones).
- Topics that we will ask participants to refrain from including in their work are modern real life politics and atrocities. This is a mostly lighthearted fandom event and such topics would be inappropriate.
- Furthermore, we will not allow plagiarism, theft, and generative AI involvement at any stage of the process.
If you have any questions/concerns in regards to the guidelines, then please don't hesitate to send us a DM/ask on our social media accounts and/or through Retrospring or ask one of the mods if a part of the discord server.
